About the Presenters
Jurgita Dronina, studied at the Čiurlionis School of Art in Vilnius and later at the Hochschule for Drama and Theatre in Munich.
She has taken leading roles in classics such as Don Quixote, Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty as far afield as Sweden, the Netherlands and Canada.
In ‘Grande Pas Classique’ she is partnered by Josua Hoffalt, of the Paris Opera Ballet.
Jūratė Vitkūnaitė (Jura Reilly), B.A., Adelaide University, Dip. Ed. Rusden TC and Grad. Dip. Ed. Admin., Deakin University.
Translated and published her great-aunt’s memoirs, A Wolf at our Door (2013) and Vilkas prie mūsų durų (2014).
Her new novel,Circle of Amber, is available as a paperback and Kindle e-book.
Dr. Gražina Pranauskas is a noted choir conductor, and was in charge of the Geelong Choir, Viltis.
She is a professional writer, working as a Research Higher Degrees Officer at the VCA and MCM, The University of Melbourne.
She will read her new suite of poems ‘Vasara’ written in Palanga, Lithuania, in the northern summer of 2016.

Šypsena was first formed in Adelaide as a quartet in 2008.

Irena Kalibatienė, from Telsiai, arrived in Australia 1950.
She studied singing under Gladys Bailey. Graduated with a B. Pharmacy from Adelaide University.
Having sung with Šypsena, Irena has undertaken further studies with noted teacher Brian Gilbertson, and now sings as a contralto soloist at Lithuanian cultural and church functions.
Richard Bukevičius, B.Ed. Sydney University. Taught in secondary schools and prepared students for HSC Lithuanian.
He was a member of Aušros Tuntas and Sydney folk dancing group.
Participated in 1975 World Congress in South America, 1983 Sports Festival Chicago and 1998 Song Festival Vilnius.
Until 2015, he sang at the Lithuanian Club, Bankstown.
Linas Pocius, studied at Adelaide Uni., Feb 16th High School Germany and Lithuanian weekend school, Adelaide.
Australian representative at Sixth World Lithuanian Youth Congress, Australia, 1987- 88.
Board member of Adelaide Lithuanian Society. Member Vytis Sports Club and Žilvinas. Social worker, practitioner and teacher of Martial Arts Silat Perisai Diri.
Dr. Ted Reilly, MA Deakin Uni., PhD Victoria Uni., is a retired teacher and has a special interest in the contemporary poetry from the Baltic region.
His own poetry has been published in Australia and overseas.
He danced with Klumpakojis, served as Secretary of the Geelong Lithuanian Community for 10 years and sang in the choir, Viltis.
The travelogue First Snow (2004) is an account of teaching as a volunteer in Druskininkai and Kaunas.
